ANTÔNIO NASCIMENTO SILVA TEIXEIRA

Agronomist who graduated in 1982 from the Federal University of Lavras. Master’s degree in Soil Science from UNESP Jaboticabal, in 2000. Salesman and Manager for 4 years at multinational companies in Mato Grosso and Rio Grande do Sul (Ciba and Basf).

Businessman and executive in the agricultural inputs trade for 13 years. Professor for 12 years and coordinator of the Agronomy program at FAZU – Faculdades Associadas de Uberaba.

First Agroecology professor at FAZU, in 2000. Vegetable grower for 7 years, in soil and hydroponic systems. Technical consultant in Brazil for 10 years; pioneer in Agroecosystem Bioactivation and Professional Agroecology (composting, organic complexation, rock dust, etc.).

Founder and Executive Director of the Brazilian Institute of Sustainable Agriculture – IBA.
